KickHub games are rarely cancelled for a lack of players. Our pitches run at close to full most weeks. When a game genuinely cannot go ahead, you are told before you leave home and your credit is returned automatically.
Confirmed is not the same as full
This is the thing that worries people most when they book, so it is worth being clear about.
A game that still shows open spots is not a game in doubt. Matches go ahead as long as enough players are in, and that number is below capacity. Seeing four spots left the evening before is normal, not a warning sign.
If numbers fall short
We will tell you, and we will tell you early enough to matter. A WhatsApp or LINE message goes out, and the credit returns to your balance without you doing anything.
Where we can, we point you at another game the same week rather than just cancelling on you.
Late drop-outs
Occasionally several people pull out shortly before kick-off and a game that was fine becomes short. Two things usually happen.
The format shifts. A game planned as 7-a-side is played 6-a-side, and honestly most people enjoy it more because everyone gets more of the ball.
Or, if it drops too low, the organiser calls it and everyone is refunded in credits. If that happens once you have already travelled, tell us. We would rather make it right than have you sit in traffic for nothing.
Why cancelling early matters
The twelve-hour cancellation window is not there to punish anyone. It exists so the spot goes back on sale in time for someone else to take it, which is what keeps games full and keeps this from happening.
