TX Park sits in Rassada, next to Phuket Rajabhat University, on the east side of the island. Four artificial turf pitches, two under a roof and two open air. It is one of the largest football complexes in Phuket and the only one where a downpour changes nothing about your evening.
Rain is not a factor here
Phuket's rainy season runs May to October and the rain arrives in short heavy bursts, usually late afternoon. Most pitches on the island drain fast enough to cope. TX Park does not need to: two of its pitches are under cover, with lighting good enough that you forget you are indoors.
Facilities
Changing rooms, stands for anyone watching, and a restaurant on site. The surface is on the softer side, which your knees will notice after ninety minutes.
The games
TX Park is one of the pitches KickHub uses on the Phuket Town side of the island, alongside 7 Soccer Club in Talat Nuea and HeadStart's City Campus in Wichit. Games are seven a side, teams are picked on the night, and you book a single spot rather than bringing a team.
Turning up
The pitch runs late and the busiest stretch is four in the afternoon to eleven at night, so evening slots fill first. Astroturf boots or trainers, no metal studs, and more water than you think you need.
