Room to actually play
The surfaces here are wide. Not marginally, properly wide compared to the compact pitches that most Bangkok football is played on.
That extra width is why we can put 8-a-side on here rather than being stuck at 7. It changes how the game feels. There's space to spread out, passes have somewhere to go, and you spend less of the hour shoulder to shoulder with four other people fighting for the same ball. Everything is under cover and floodlit, so a downpour or a late kick-off doesn't matter.
The Huai Khwang side
Bangkok is big enough that where a pitch sits determines whether you go. This one serves the north-east: Ratchadaphisek, Huai Khwang, Din Daeng and the streets around them.
If you live or work in that part of the city, crossing to Sathon or Lumphini for an hour of football is a real decision, and most weeks the answer is no. Having a pitch on your own side removes that. It's the difference between football being something you do and something you mean to do.
The games
We play 7-a-side here, moving up to 8-a-side when we fill it. Games currently run on Tuesdays and Sundays, with a third slot in the works as more players join on this side of town. Times shift, so the app has the current list.
It's 280 THB per player with PromptPay, or 300 THB by card.
Booking a slot
Everything happens in the app: choose your game, pay, done. Nothing to hand over when you arrive.
Teams are put together once players are on site and levelled out so the game stays competitive. Coming alone is the norm rather than the exception, and nobody has to know anyone to get a game.
